Room 606 at the Royal Hotel

30Jan12

The Royal Hotel in Copenhagen features a room that Arne Jacobsen designed, in the 1950’s, from the lighting and furniture to the coffee pots and cutlery.  The room features many of Jacobsen’s  iconic designs such as the Swan chair and sofa and the Drop chair. The Royal Hotel also reports that many of the features designed by Jacobsen work better today than the updated versions elsewhere in the hotel, such as his track light system and hidden dressing table units.  Visit the hotel’s website for much more info and to enjoy a 360 degree view of the room.  pb
