Travels and Treasures

06Feb13

Jesse and Hanni purchased a dilapidated old building in Monterey, CA which housed two apartments over a former dive bar and turned it into this welcoming and personality filled home with their boutique Lilify taking over the ground floor. The renovation took 2 years and the only survivors of the original building are those fabulous oak floors, original moldings, and the barrel ceilings. The home is filled with their combined souvenirs from world travels from bird’s nests to kangaroo skins to antlers. Jesse has spent time in Guam, Tibet, and Denali National Park and Hanni studied floral design in South Africa and Japan, the two met while both were members of the Peace Corps.  Their main goal for the home was to showcase their combined treasures and still bring the outdoors in. A job well done.    pb
