Tea+Trunk Show=Helping Local Charity

05Feb13

We had a great turnout for our own little charity event, the “Shop With Heart” Trunk Show, at the store this weekend. Kate Halaris, a local ambassador for Noonday Collection, presented truly beautiful and unique jewelry made by global artisans. The pieces were quite popular among our guests who happily placed many orders. Noonday Collection is a wonderful Austin, TX-based company that not only helps the impoverished, assists families seeking to adopt, but also helps the aforementioned artisans build their own small businesses, often in poverty stricken areas.

So where’s the charity part come in? For every purchase from Noonday Collection, 15% is donated to our choice of local charity,Home of the Innocents, a non-profit agency that has a 133 year history of helping abused, abandoned, neglected, or medically fragile children. You can learn more about their mission here.  You can still help us help them through Thursday, February 7th by going here to shop online, just be sure to note Eclectic Living so we can help as many children as possible.

Wonderfully fragrant, tasty teas and samples were graciously provided by Nick Spears and Nicolette Boese of Louisville Tea Company. New favorite tea? Strawberry Fields, which was heavenly! You can order it, as well as many other teas, on their website. Learn more about them and the surprising health benefits of drinking tea in this article featuring the couple on USA Today.  Photos were taken by our own Christina Logsdon, the mastermind behind this event.      pb

  1. My brother recommended I might like this web site.

He used to be entirely right. This post actually made my day.
You cann’t consider just how a lot time I had spent for this information! Thank you!

  2. Properly, that’s often a good point, lol. It would be great to possess this kind of a lovely lose, wouldn’t it?
Our shed is a lot more of a garbage can holder having a tiny
bit of room left more than for our gardening supplies,
    sigh.

  3. If some one needs to be updated with most recent technologies
therefore he must be go to see this web site and be up to date everyday.

  4. I drop a comment each time Iappreciate a article on a ste or I have skmething to valuable to
contribute to the conversation. It’s a result of the passion displayed in the article I looked at.
And after this article Tea+Trunk Show=Helping Local Charity | ECLECTIC
LIVING HOME. I was actually moved enough to drop a thought 🙂 I do
have a couple of questions for you if you usually do not mind.
Is it only me or does it give the impression like some of the remarks appear like written by brain dead folks?
😛 And, if you are posting at additional sites, I’d like to
follow anything fresh you have to post. Could you make a list the
complete urls off your communal sites like your twitter
feed, Facebook page or linkedin profile?
