A Winter Haven

John Guy had always wanted to design and build his own home but when he saw this 1970’s stone house located on an idyllic landscape, he couldn’t pass it up.  The house had been neglected for 20 years and was a series of dark rooms with low ceilings that Guy has transformed into warm, inviting, and cozy haven even in the harshest of winters. Renovations took one and half years and Guy visited the construction everyday to ensure that the home had the appearance of having always been there. I really love the palette of warm colors and creamy beiges chosen over the often stark, almost blinding whites seen in many Nordic interiors. So, bring it on, let it snow!    pb
