Mid-Century Mellow

In another beautiful home design by Jessica Helgerson, this gorgeous mid-century modern style began as a run down split-level ranch. The cramped and enclosed living areas now feature an open concept great room and kitchen. Most all furnishings were vintage finds that were refurbished except for the slab maple coffee table made by the designer’s architect husband Yianni Doulis. The light and restrained palette of  black, green, white and touches of wood tones, keeps the focus equally on the outdoors and the stunning interior.  Also of note, the chaise in the above photo is a rocking chaise.   pb

I love the organic living room! We have the same rug but ours was purchased at World Market. We have two matching glass rounded vases but 2x as small, it inspires me to get bigger ones! You may have seen them in my “blogging Central” post. I have a bad habit of stemming of little tree ends but it’s hard to get ones of their size in mine. 🙂 Is your home organic and monochromatic? Or bright and colorful?

  4. Hmm it seems like your site ate my first comment (it was super
long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I submitted and say,
I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog. I as well am an aspiring blog blogger but I’m still new to the whole thing.
Do you have any recommendations for rookie blog writers?
    I’d really appreciate it.
