All Aboard!: Renovated Train Station
31Oct12
This stunning space is a former railway station in the heart of Switzerland. The owners embraced the industrial aspect of the building and filled it with loads of texture, pattern, and color. The use of plaid, wood, and animal furs (faux I hope!) create a warm and cozy atmosphere for those cold winter evenings. The kitchen is a dream space with that wonderful fireplace, huge work surfaces, and existing machinery. The bedrooms benefit from the same treatment as the downstairs and I love the innovative twist on the bunk beds by having them face each other rather than stack top to bottom. My new dream home. pb
