Cottage Color
Found on Hus & Hem, one would not expect the color riot inside this modest little cottage, although the little touch of red in the trim gives a hint. The Lülloff-Houlbergs summer home was a mish-mash of styles when they purchased it from the original owners as it had been renovated or added onto many times since it was built in 1943. They decided to paint the exterior black with white trim so the window boxes full of summer blooms would pop out and because it reminded them of cozy Danish cottages.Karsten Lülloff is an interior and furniture designer so the layout and furnishings were well thought out. The interior walls are all black or white except for the blast of yellow in the kitchen to allow for huge contrasts. Karsten also believes that “pastels are devoid of personality“. The colorful accessories and furnishings run throughout the home and provide an always interesting but comfortable home for the couple and their 2 year old son Sigurd. pb

Woah! I didn’t expect to find the Mod decor inside by looking at the house exterior! Love those surprises!
Me either! I almost passed it up because of the exterior.
Yes the whole area from exterior as well as interior is completely different altogether. Great mix and match this is called eclectic mix…
