Architecture + Forest

Found on KNSTRCT, Casa Corallo is not only a home that is nestled among the trees of it’s forest locale in Guatemala, it literally embraces the surroundings. Instead of taking down trees to make room for the structure, the house is built around the trees. A large trunk is present in the living room while the branches stretch into other parts of the home. The architects, PAZ Arquitectura, noted that during construction they tried to “to integrate the most of interior architecture with the advantages of the surrounding nature.” I would say the blending of the forest into the house and the house into the forest was a rousing success. pb
