Flaming Lips House Tour
The home tour of Flaming Lips front man, Wayne Coyne and his photographer and artist wife, Michelle Martin-Coyne starts out simply enough with a nice living area boasting beautiful woods and decorative touches. It’s when you enter the portal to the bedroom that things change. The architectural team of Fitzsimmons Architects have completed this phase, there are six planned. This consisted of partially refinishing the main house, turning a garage and storage space into a large family room and of course the new master suite featuring the master bath “dragon egg”. The master suite includes a floating fireplace with artwork, designed by Michelle Martin-Coyne, underneath.
Located in Oklahoma City, Coyne’s hometown, the couple intends to stay in the “long troubled” neighborhood where Coyne grew up and hopefully lead the way to revitalizing the area. ”It’s worth the battle, it’s worth the stress, it’s worth waiting for, and it really does do what art’s supposed to do. It makes you remember that we can go for it, and then life isn’t just normal and average” – Wayne Coyne pb

I kind of expected there to be giant animals, aliens and dancing girls everywhere, the house is ridiculously amazing though
I know, surprising.
