Photography: Al Magnus
01May12
Al Magnus discovered photography at age 10 and “was even then fascinated by the light that black & white prints suffused”. After his initial experimentation with photography, he gave it up and pursued a career in science. After becoming a physics and chemistry scientist, Magnus, in 2000, bought a scanner for negatives, then a printer and “put all my energy into a dedicated photographic approach”. See more of his intoxicating work at his website. pb
